About Us
We’re passionate about providing world-class machinery and the highest-quality service across Australia and New Zealand. Herby Whyte established the business in 1975, after running a successful farming operation. He understood that machinery was a critical part of his business and was frustrated about the availability, quality and the urgency of skilled support for customers. There are two parts to our organisation:
Our Landpower support offices, located in Melbourne and Christchurch, assist our CLAAS Harvest Centre branches by providing Marketing, Technology, People & Culture, Technical Support, Finance, Product and Parts functions. It’s also where our Landpower Vegetable Centre teams are based, servicing customers in each country from a central location.
CLAAS Harvest Centre is our Trans-Tasman branch network. We have 18 CLAAS Harvest Centre branches in Australia and 15 in New Zealand. Each branch has a Sales, Technical/Service, Parts and Administrative function, dedicated to servicing our customers. We’re all about going the extra mile to help our customers and people grow.
Today, with Herby’s continued active involvement, the board, senior management, and a dedicated team of over 500 people, we’re proud to bring leading global brands such as CLAAS, AMAZONE, GRIMME JCB, and Väderstad to our growing customer base.

Extensive Training & Development Opportunities:
We have an extensive training and career development program across our business. Whether it’s leadership programs or allocating time in the off-season to get through the theory for our apprenticeship program – we take training and development seriously. We also have world-class training facilities on-site in Christchurch and Melbourne and conduct hundreds of hours of Sales and Technical training each year. These are led by our expert Training and Product teams and occasionally supported by our friends from CLAAS, AMAZONE, Väderstad and GRIMME.

Support Office
Our offices in Christchurch and Melbourne offer a range of career opportunities in Marketing, Technology, Product, People & Culture, Finance, Logistics, and Technical Support.
